Privacy Policy

UGetFirst ("we," "us," or "our") provides a job-alert service that monitors public Facebook groups for posts matching your keywords and can send SMS notifications to your phone number. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you use UGetFirst, we may collect:

• Account information: email address and password (account signup uses email + password only).
• Phone number: collected during setup and verified with a one-time code. Providing a phone number does not by itself enable SMS alerts.
• Monitoring preferences: keywords you choose and public Facebook groups you pick from our curated catalog.
• Consent records: if you opt in to SMS, we store when you agreed (for example sms_consent_at) and whether alerts are currently enabled.

We use your information to:

• Operate your account and authenticate you (including password reset and other account-related emails).
• Monitor selected catalog groups for posts that match your keywords.
• If you have opted in to SMS: send job-alert texts when a match is found, and process STOP / HELP replies.
• Manage usage limits and improve reliability and security.

SMS alerts are optional. You can create an account, finish setup (including verifying a phone number), and use the dashboard without enabling texts. Accounts start with SMS off.

Consent is collected only when you check an unchecked consent box on the setup alerts step ("Turn on alerts") or in the dashboard Enable SMS alerts? modal. You may choose "Maybe later" to skip SMS. Checking the box and enabling alerts means you agree to receive recurring automated SMS messages from UGetFirst related to job alerts at that number. Message frequency varies depending on how often matching posts appear.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning alerts off in your dashboard. For help, reply HELP or email nemo.devlab@gmail.com.

We use your email address for account-related messages such as authentication, password reset, and service notices needed to operate your account. Marketing emails, if any, will include an unsubscribe option.

Your information is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your personal information.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with trusted providers needed to operate the service, including:

• Twilio — to deliver SMS messages to your phone number (when you have opted in).
• Supabase — to store subscriber data, keywords, and monitored groups.
• Resend — to send account-related emails.

These providers process data on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to deliver the services we request.

SMS Consent Exclusion. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will strictly not be shared with any third parties.

We retain your information only while your account is active, so we can provide the service. You can delete your account at any time in the web app under Settings. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your information immediately and do not retain it.

You may:

• Opt out of SMS alerts by replying STOP or using your dashboard.
• Update keywords, groups, phone number, and alert settings in your dashboard and settings (subject to plan limits of up to 8 keywords and 3 groups).
• Delete your account in Settings in the web app. Account deletion permanently removes your information immediately; we do not keep a copy.
• Request access to your data (while your account is active) by emailing nemo.devlab@gmail.com.

UGetFirst is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
